KANDOS-RYLSTONE HERITAGE RAIL LINK STEAMS INTO ACTION

THE charm of a bygone era will take rail buffs on a trip back in time at Kandos-Rylstone this Saturday.
A $1.1 million project to boost regional tourism has been completed and amid much fan- fair will be officially opened by Bathurst MP Paul Toole.
It was only last October that Mr Toole announced the NSW Government would fund an initiative to reinstate the eight kilometre rail link between the two towns.

$850,000 FOR BLAYNEY COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Two local projects will benefit from a share in more than $850,000 to upgrade community and sporting facilities thanks to the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the community would benefit from new amenities at Carcoar Sports and Recreation Ground, as well as upgrades to Napier and Dakers Oval.
“Visitors will benefit from a $322,000 investment to build new public toilets, an open camp kitchen, a community barbecue shelter and new change rooms at the Carcoar grounds,” Mr Toole said.

RYLSTONE MPS REDEVELOPMENT FORGING AHEAD

There’s a brand new look to the Rylstone Multipurpose Service (MPS) with the project forging ahead.
Bathurst MP Paul Toole visited the MPS earlier this month to meet with staff and see first-hand progress of the redevelopment of the facility.
Mr Toole said the redevelopment project has delivered many upgrades and improvements which would benefit the local community.
“The new front entry has been given revamp to include an airlock for improved comfort and safety for staff and patients,” he said.

THREE TREE LODGE RECEIVES NSW GOVERNMENT FUNDING TO REDUCE ENERGY COSTS

Bathurst MP Paul Toole today announced $87,473 in funding to bring major energy savings to Lithgow’s Three Tree House through round two of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.
The money will fund the installation of An energy efficient power system at the aged care facility, enabling greater efficiencies in the day-to-day running of the centre, and providing enhanced local accommodation options for the community, including a Dementia day service.
