BATHURST TO RECEIVE HERITAGE GRANT

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole today announced $39,250 in NSW Government heritage grants to help protect local heritage across the Bathurst Electorate.

There were six successful grant applicants in the Bathurst Electorate under this year’s round of funding, with two projects in Bathurst benefiting from funds.

Under the Local Government Heritage Advisors stream Bathurst Regional Council will receive $6,500 and under the Local Government Local Heritage Places – Small Grants Program, a further $5,000.

MORE SEATS FOR BLUE MOUNTAINS TRAINS CUSTOMERS

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole today welcomed changes to the 3:18pm Blue Mountains weekday service from Central to Lithgow, which will double the number of seats available for customers.

“The NSW Government monitors train loads closely across the network and we know that this particular service is very popular with customers,” Mr Toole said.

“This service currently operates as a four car train, however from Monday 17 October, we will be doubling the capacity to an eight car train. “

GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL EMERGENCY RELIEF PROJECTS

Local organisations and councils in the Bathurst Electorate are encouraged to apply for up to $300,000 to help them deliver an important emergency relief infrastructure project for their communities.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole is inviting local not-for-profit groups and councils to apply for grants of up to $300,000 for new or upgraded emergency relief infrastructure.

LIBERTY SWING IN FULL FLIGHT

Blayney’s Heritage Park has been given a wonderful new lease on life, with the recent construction of a ‘Liberty Swing’, enabling children restricted to a wheelchair, the freedom to enjoy playtime in the park.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said it is a wonderful opportunity for the NSW Government to be a part of something that is sure to bring a lot of joy to children with a disability and their families in the Blayney area.
