NSW Government seeks applications for young advisors

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole is encouraging young people from the Bathurst Electorate to consider applying for a position on the 2017 NSW Youth Advisory Council and get involved in government decision making.

Council members are sought to represent the diversity of young people living in NSW in terms of locality and gender, Aboriginality, and cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Mr Toole said that the Youth Advisory Council is one of the most effective ways for young people to be involved in Government decision making.

LOCAL RESERVES RECEIVE FUNDING BOOST

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole has announced funding for the Wattle Flat Heritage Lands Trust of $48,478 as part of the annual Public Reserves Management (PRMF) program.

The program supports volu nteers who care for and maintain public facilities in the region.

Mr Toole said, “It’s great to deliver funding to the Wattle Flat Heritage Lands Trust and I congratulate them on their successful submission and the work they do.

LOCAL FOOTBALL CLUBS TO BENEFIT FROM

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole is encouraging local football clubs to apply for funding through the NSW Asian Cup 2015 Legacy Fund.

“Local football clubs across the state are set to benefit from the establishment of a $4 million fund to deliver better community facilities driven from the success of the 2015 Asian Cup Tournament,” Mr Toole said.


“The Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said the overwhelming success of the Asian Cup resulted in a surplus to improve facilities at a local level in NSW’s highest participated sport.

BATHURST TEACHER RECEIVES PREMIER’S AWARD

Catherine Kropman from St Stanislaus' College was one of only 21 teachers from across the state awarded a Premier’s Teacher Scholarship by the NSW Premier, Mike Baird at a recent ceremony held in Sydney.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole congratulated Ms Kropman for receiving the Premier's Australian Association of Special Education NSW Chapter Research to Practice Special Education Scholarship.
