LOCAL RESERVES RECEIVE FUNDING BOOST

Paul Toole Member for Bathurst has announced funding for the Bathurst Showground Trust through the Public Reserve Management Fund program.

Mr Toole said, “This is a program which supports public facilities and enhances our growth in the region and protection of our resources and environment. The funding provides the capacity to make tangible and long lasting improvements to Crown reserves, which in turn underpins the social, economic and environmental well-being of large and small communities across the State.”

INVESTING IN OUR VETERANS LEGACY

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole has announced that funding is available investment into the protection and repair of local war memorials and new education programs that preserve the ANZAC legacy.

Mr Toole said, “The Funding includes $125,000 for the latest round of the Community War Memorial Fund, established in 2008, which helps communities throughout NSW complete a variety of projects aimed at protecting and conserving the state’s war memorials. “

VOCATIONAL STUDENTS IN BATHURST ELECTORATE AMONG THE BEST IN THE STATE

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole today congratulated James Gordon of Denison College - Bathurst High Campus for being named as a finalist in the 2016 NSW State Training Awards to be held in Sydney on 8 September, 2016.

James is a finalist in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools Student of the Year and has demonstrated exceptional passion and commitment to his Engineering Certificate I, Agriculture Certificate II and Construction Certificate II vocational education and training.

FIRE CONTROL CENTRE UPDATE

Local Member for Bathurst Paul Toole today inspected progress on the Chifley Local Area Command’s $4 million Rural Fire Service Control Centre, set to open its doors in March 2017.

The new state of the art facility is one of the largest in regional NSW and includes thermal imaging technology, as well as the ability to stream real time images of fires taken from the air, zooming in as close as 5 metres from the site.
