A First Aid course is something we all ‘talk about’ doing. But for some reason, spending a day or two at a First Aid training centre seems to sit low on the priority list and there is always an excuse for ‘next time’.

$8 Million for Local Heritage Grants Now Available

 

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole is encouraging local heritage item owners and managers to apply for a NSW Government local Heritage Activation Grant to rejuvenate local heritage places.

Mr Toole said $2.67 million of funding would be available each financial year for three years to owners and managers of local heritage items through the program.

Heritage Activation Grants are open to owners and managers of heritage items listed on their council’s local heritage registers,” Mr Toole said.

Young Regional Artists Scholarships Now Open

Artistic regional youth are urged to apply now for the NSW Government’s $10,000 individual scholarship program to foster the next generation of arts professionals.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said, “This is the most amazing opportunity for our young people. The program funds activities such as mentorships, internships, courses, training, national and international travel and creation of new work across all art forms including dance, design, digital arts, history, Aboriginal arts, literature, music, screen and visual arts.”

Fixing Country Rail

Minister for Roads and Freight Duncan Gay and Member for Bathurst Paul Toole announced Expressions of Interest are open for the $15 million Fixing Country Rail pilot program, which is targeted at improving freight movements across the State.

“This pilot program kick-starts the full $400 million Fixing Country Rail initiative which will deliver a highly functional transport network across the state for moving freight in and out of regional areas, and will ease pressure on our local roads,” Mr Gay said.
