SCHOOL SAFETY BOOST FOR LITHGOW

Local Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said Lithgow will share in a $5 million program to install school zone flashing lights where schools have multiple busy entrances, and have higher road safety risks.

Cooerwull Public School will benefit from an additional sets of flashing lights installed to improve road safety for children travelling to and from school.

“This will build on the NSW Government’s initial rollout which ensured all eligible schools across NSW had at least one set of flashing lights,” Mr Toole said.

BATHURST ELECTORATE CELEBRATES NATIONAL WATTLE DAY WITH GREEN AND GOLD

Local residents in the Bathurst Electorate are being encouraged to celebrate Australia’s national floral emblem as part of National Wattle Day on Thursday 1 September.

Local Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said National Wattle Day welcomes the first day of Spring and embraces the optimism of being Australian.

“Proudly displaying our national colours of green and gold, the magnificent wattle is a fitting symbol of Australia, its people and its spirit,” Mr Toole said.

Public Reserve Management Funding Program

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole has announced funding for Community Reserves across the Electorate through the Public Reserve Management Fund program.

Mr Toole said, “This is a program which supports public facilities including sportsgrounds, showgrounds, community halls, walking tracks and local parks. The funding enhances our regional growth and the protection of our resources and environment. This in turn underpins the social, economic and environmental well-being of large and small communities across the State.
