2017 FLAGSHIP EVENT FUND NOW OPEN FOR REGIONAL NSW EVENTS

Regional NSW event organisers are encouraged to apply for grants under the NSW Government’s 2017 Flagship Event Fund, with expressions of interest open from today.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the fund offers more money than ever before to regional events for marketing activities aimed at driving overnight visitation and boosting local economies.

“Visitors to NSW enjoy a jam packed regional event schedule from food and wine festivals to unique music, sporting and arts events and applications for next year’s Flagship Event Fund are now invited,” Mr Toole said.

WHEN FAMILY MEANS BUSINESS

Family businesses are considered the backbone of the New South Wales economy with half a million operating across the country.

Today they will take part in the fifth annual National Family Business Day, a celebration of the contribution which family businesses make in local communities nationwide.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole is encouraging family businesses in the Bathurst electorate to join in this day of recognition by taking some time out in the first-ever Family Business Morning Tea, to share their experiences with employees and other businesses.

FUNDING BOOST FOR COUNCIL PET PROGRAMS

 

Member for Bathurst, Paul Toole today announced Lithgow Regional Council will receive $8,000 from the NSW Government to promote responsible pet ownership in the local community.

Mr Toole said the funding boost will allow the council to provide important programs such as free microchipping and community education workshops.

FUNDING BOOST FOR COUNCIL PET PROGRAMS - BLAYNEY

 

Member for Bathurst, Paul Toole today announced Blayney Shire Council will receive $2,500 from the NSW Government to promote responsible pet ownership in the local community.

Mr Toole said the funding boost will allow council to provide important programs such as free microchipping and community education workshops.

“Thanks to this Government grant, pet owners in Blayney Shire will have access to free microchipping thanks to a joint program between the Council and local Vet hospital.
