Community Grant to Honor Anzac Traditions in Lithgow

Local Member for Bathurst Paul Toole and Minister for Veterans Affairs David Elliott announced the Lithgow City WWI Commemorative Plaque Project will receive $1,000 in NSW Government funding as part of a proud commitment to honour Australia’s servicemen and women.

With assistance from the Community War Memorials Fund, a project relating to local military history will take place and findings placed on plaques for public record, ensuring due respect is paid to those who made a contribution to the war.

Funding Boost for Lithgow Valley Pistol Club

Member for Bathurst  Paul Toole MP has  announced $16,770 in NSW Government funding for  the Lithgow Valley Pistol Club  as part of the 2015/16 Safe Shooting Program.

Funding has been provided to upgrade the range shooting bays, target frames and the perimeter fence and dividing wall.

“The main aim of this program is to increase the safety at shooting facilities in NSW as well as during club sponsored activities held away from a club's permanent base,” Mr Toole said.

Local Artists Invited to Apply for NSW Government Fellowships

Local Member for Bathurst Paul Toole is inviting artists in the Bathurst Electorate to apply for a share in $150,000 as part of the NSW Governments Regional Arts Program.

Three $50,000 fellowships are available to support regional artists and cultural workers and provide a great opportunity to broaden their talent and skills.

“The Bathurst Electorate is home to some of the state’s most talented artists and these fellowships provide an opportunity to assist developing their skills and careers,” Mr Toole said.
