OBERON CHILDREN’S CENTRE TO EXPAND

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole is pleased to congratulate the Oberon Children’s Centre as successful applicants of the Start Strong Capital Works Grants program for the extension of the facility.

Oberon Children’s Centre will be receiving a grant of $415,405.00 to extend the existing facility, ultimately allowing for more enrolments.

The program comes as a part of the NSW Governments continued dedication to supporting families in NSW, by increasing the number of community preschool places available in areas of need and demand.

NEVILLE SHOWGROUND TO GET STATE-OF-THE-ART MULTIPURPOSE HORSE ARENA

A grant of $30,000 from the NSW Government will see a state-of-the-art multipurpose horse arena built at Neville Showground.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole announced the funding when he officially opened the annual Neville Show last Saturday afternoon.

He said the money comes from the $16.5 million Crown Reserves Improvement Fund to upgrade reserves and facilities on Crown lands in regional communities doing it tough.

HERITAGE RAIL REFURB UNDERWAY

The heritage-listed Oberon Railway Station has begun its major upgrade, as part of a plan to unlock the tourism potential that historic rail offers the region.

A grant of $133,000 from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund was awarded to restore the 85 metre long platform at the station which is a vital part of the vision to attract visitors to town.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole MP said the station forms part of Oberon’s history and that locals and visitors alike will benefit from this project.

BMX TRACK WORK PEDALS FORWARD

WITH the countdown on to round four of the 2020 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Bathurst next February, a new clubhouse at the track is taking shape.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole joined Mayor Cr Bobby Bourke today to inspect progress on the building which will be the headquarters for the running of the big event.

It has been funded thanks to $500,000 from council and $100,000 from the NSW Government which has also chipped in $6000 for a state-of-the-art start gate and $5000 for a storage area.

Mr Toole said sport is a vital part of the Bathurst community.
