NEW FRONT FENCE FOR WARATAH PARK AT KANDOS

Bathurst MP Paul Toole today announced $50,000 in funding to carry out much-needed improvements to Waratah Park at Kandos through round two of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.
The money will fund the replacement of the front boundary fence at the sporting facility as well as the installation of a new double gate entrance.

SAFETY UPGRADES FOR CULLEN BULLEN RACEWAY

Bathurst MP Paul Toole today announced $57,300 in funding for safety upgrades at the Cullen Bullen Raceway.
The money, to fund the second stage of upgrades at the track, will allow for the replacement of an Armco section of the pit wall at the second turn with concrete.
It will also relocate the existing track entry/exit points to improve safety and suitability for all speedway division events. Mr Toole said the upgraded venue will attract increased participation from competitors and parents of junior competitors, who have had concerns over track safety.

FRESH PAINT FOR NEWBRIDGE HALL

Newbridge Recreation Ground Hall will benefit from almost $19,000 in NSW Government funding to repaint the centre.
Minister for Lands and Forestry and Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the hall was popular with local community groups.
“The hall is regularly used by the Newbridge Village Progress Association for their meetings as well as the Newbridge Art Group for classes,” Mr Toole said.
“It is a focal point of the community, as it is also used regularly for workshops, community events and social functions.

NSW GOVERNMENT’S $2 MILLION TO REOPEN THE BRIDLE TRACK

Bathurst MP Paul Toole today announced the NSW Government will commit $2 million to enable a local transport link that is steeped in history to be reopened.
For years the Bridle Track linking Bathurst and Hill End has been closed to traffic due to rock slides which had made the road impassable.
Mr Toole said the funding will be made to Bathurst Regional Council to explore a range of options to enable vehicles to once again complete the 60 km journey.
“This is a project that I have been working on behind-the-scenes for a number of years,” he said.
