HISTORY BEING SAVED AT THE OBERON MUSEUM

A precious slice of history which is one of the star exhibits at the Oberon Museum is set to be thrown a lifeline by the NSW Government.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole today announced a NSW Community Building Partnership (CBP) grant of $15,000 to ensure significant repairs can be made to the 1887 Museum Cottage.

At present the 1887 Museum Cottage is falling into a state of disrepair and needs to be made weather proof to save it from succumbing to the inclement weather that Oberon is well-known for experiencing.

NEW LEASE OF LIFE FOR RYLSTONE CARAVAN PARK

Big plans are on the drawing board for the Rylstone Caravan Park.

The facility is set to undergo a major transformation with help from a NSW Government Stronger Country Communities Fund (SCCF) grant of $154,525.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole announced the funding, saying it would give the caravan park a new lease of life.

“The upgrade includes the extension of the park’s grounds, extension of the existing road through the venue and addition of camping and recreational vehicle parking sites with new services,” he said.

$250,000 FOR MULTI-PURPOSE COURTS AT NEVILLE

THE village of Neville in the Blayney Shire continues to receive backing from the Member for Bathurst Paul Toole.

Today Mr Toole announced a NSW Government grant of $250,000 for the construction of multi-purpose sports courts on a vacant block of land next to the local War Memorial Park.

This follows recent upgrades at Neville including a new amenities block ($50,000), funding for the establishment of a facility at the local showground to cater for a multitude of equine disciplines ($30,000) and electrical system upgrades at the showground ($20,000).

BLAYNEY CENTREPOINT POOL MORE ACCESSIBLE

An investment of just under $100,000 by the NSW Government is set to improve the quality of life of Blayney residents by providing better accessibility.

The Blayney pool is know disabled-access friendly through the installation of a motorized adult change room and pool-pod, helping create a leisure environment suitable for all patrons.
