DROUGHT FUNDING TO ASSIST AWARD WINNING MILLTHORPE PRE SCHOOL

Preschools and Long Day Care services around Bathurst will receive a much-needed funding boost, thanks to the NSW Government’s Preschool Drought Relief program.
Paul Toole MP said seven centres around Bathurst will be eligible to submit an ‘expression of interest’ to receive additional drought relief funding, which can be used to reduce fees, implement transport initiatives, staff training and environmental adjustments.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE PORTLAND RED CROSS MORNING TEA AT CULLEN BULLEN

IT’S a special event that’s a real highlight for members of the Portland Red Cross Association.
Each year the organisation holds its annual morning tea at the Cullen Bullen Progress Hall and this was the case on Monday. (subs note: October 14.)
More than 50 people attended the function with a selection home-cooked tasty treats for everyone to enjoy.
Portland Red Cross vice president Agnes Tilley said the special guest at this year’s morning tea was Bathurst MP Paul Toole while Lithgow Councillor Maree Statham was also acknowledged as a special guest.

SAFER, BETTER MITCHELL HIGHWAY AT GARVEYS LANE

Motorists will benefit from a $1.8 million NSW Government investment to improve safety and traffic flow along the Mitchell Highway at Garveys Lane.
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads and Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the project was part of a $12 million package to complete upgrades between Bathurst and Orange.
“The NSW Government are committed to improving safety across regional NSW,” Mr Toole said.

GREAT WESTERN HIGHWAY SAFETY WORK STARTING AT MEADOW FLAT

Work to provide a dedicated turning lane from the Great Western Highway onto Range Road at Meadow Flat, has begun.

Minister for Regional Transport and Roads and Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the highway safety work demonstrated the NSW Government’s commitment to delivering better, safer roads infrastructure across the State.

“The Nationals in government are investing $2.1 million to improve safety at this intersection of the Great Western Highway while planning work continues for further upgrades for this important connection to the Central West,” Mr Toole said.
