BETTER TRANSPORT FOR REGIONAL AND RURAL NSW

Councils, transport operators, schools and community groups throughout regional and rural NSW are encouraged to apply for a share in more than $3.2 million to improve the customer experience on public transport.

BATHURST TAFE STUDENTS GAIN FROM GRANTS

TAFE NSW Bathurst students Sarah Booby, Kiana Ryan and Marley Pearce have been announced as the recipients of the Dean Mobbs Gallery Creative Arts, Early Childhood and Hospitality Scholarships for 2019.
The recipients were awarded their scholarships at a ceremony at TAFE NSW Bathurst this week.
Member for Bathurst, Paul Toole, praised the students for their outstanding achievements.

LITHGOW TAFE GRADUATES JOB READY

TAFE NSW Lithgow outdoor recreation students today graduated from courses that will equip them with job-ready skills to take on the great outdoors.
Bathurst MP Paul Toole said 39 students, who relocated to Lithgow from across Australia and New Zealand to study at TAFE NSW, graduated with a Certificate III or IV in Outdoor Recreation.
“The TAFE NSW courses provide students with hands-on skills to manage activities and supervise others as an outdoor guide or instructor,” Mr Toole said.

OBERON DISTRICT MUSEUM RECEIVES FUNDING BOOST

A VERY delicate collection of hand-painted pottery items depicting the Oberon streetscape as it was back in the 1930s is the focus of a grant from the NSW Government.
The Oberon District Museum Society will receive funding of $1463 from the Museums and Galleries NSW Small Grants program which aims to facilitate vital improvements and projects across volunteer-run museums in NSW.
Under the program, in the first of two annual funding rounds for 2019, 13 community museums from regional NSW will benefit from a total of $18,033.
