HEALTHCARE TRAINING IN BATHURST

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole announced today TAFE NSW is moving to respond to the demand for trained healthcare employees during COVID-19.

With nursing employment opportunities continuing to increase, Mr Toole said TAFE NSW Bathurst is offering a range of health-related courses to the community.

“At a time when our health and care services are under pressure due to changes and new procedures around COVID-19, it’s vital TAFE NSW continues to build a pipeline of skilled people to support the workforce,” Mr Toole said.

TURBOCHARGED PROGRAM DRIVING SMOOTHER TRIPS FOR LITHGOW

The Australian and NSW Governments will invest more than $1.3 million to Dark Corner Road and Hartley Vale Road as part of a new stimulus package to boost local roads and create regional jobs.

The Australian Government has committed $191 million to build on the NSW Government’s $500 million Fixing Local Roads program, ensuring even more regional communities benefit, faster.

MAJELLAN BOWLING CLUB MEMBERS READY TO ROLL UP THEIR SLEEVES

The “can do” attitude of the members from the Majellan Bowling Club have been rewarded with funding from the NSW Government.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole today announced the club would receive a Community Building Partnership (CBP) grant of $4462 to cover the cost of materials to replace their dilapidated boundary fence.

Mr Toole met with club president Bob Lundie-Jenkins to deliver the good news and congratulate him on the initiative being shown by this tiny club situated in the heart of the central business district.

BUSHFIRE RECOVERY PROJECTS TO SUPPORT LITHGOW COMMUNITY

The bushfire impacted community of Lithgow will have projects delivered as part of the NSW Governments Bushfire Community Resilience and Economic Recovery Fund.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole MP and Lithgow Mayor Ray Thompson have announced further funding to support the local community and businesses recover in the town.   

Mr Toole said local communities are continuing to recover and while the immediate focus remains on clean-up and rebuilding lives, funding for community projects and community events will provide a much-needed morale boost.
