BATHURST SET TO GET “BACK TO THE TRACK”

 

The NSW Government’s "Back to the Track" program is set to support harness racing, thoroughbred racing and greyhound racing in the Bathurst region.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole and the NSW Minister for Racing said the funding for the three organisations would allow them to run promotions with the aim of boosting crowds and membership numbers.

Mr Toole said the Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing Club would receive a grant of $20,000 for its "Next Gen – Back to the Track" initiative.

FULL STEAM AHEAD FOR RAIL CROSSING LOOPS IN BATHURST ELECTORATE

 

Regional producers and freight companies will soon benefit from greater efficiency, while customers will see greater reliability for passenger services in the state’s Central West, as work on two new rail crossing loops steams ahead.

Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight Melinda Pavey welcomed the progress achieved on the rail crossing loops at Rydal and Georges Plains, following an inspection of the Rydal site during last week’s Community Cabinet visit to the region.

HERITAGE RAIL IS BACK ON TRACK

 

The heritage-listed Oberon Railway Station is set for a major upgrade as part of a plan to unlock the tourism potential that historic rail offers the region.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole today announced a NSW Government grant of $133,000 from its Stronger Country Communities Fund to restore the 85 metre long platform at the station which is a vital part of the vision to attract visitors to town.

ABORIGINAL CULTURE FRONT-AND-CENTRE FOR PRESCHOOLS IN BATHURST REGION

 

Bathurst’s littlest learners will have a stronger connection to the local Aboriginal community, thanks to a NSW Government grant aimed at embedding Aboriginal culture into a local preschool’s everyday practice.

Local Member Paul Toole announced a $10,000 grant from the Liberals & Nationals for Pied Piper Preschool in Wallerawang today. The funding will go towards teaching a local Wiradjuri language and to purchase a number of resources to educate the children of the culture of the local Aboriginal community.
