SECURITY OF TENURE FOR GIRL GUIDES AT THEIR LONG TIME HOME IN LITHGOW

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole today welcomed approval for a 10-year lease to be given over community land to Girl Guides Australia.
Mr Toole said Local Government Minister Gabrielle Upton has granted statutory approval for a 10-year lease for the Lithgow District Girl Guides Hall site on Young Street.
“Lithgow City Council requested the Minister’s approval under the Local Government Act to grant this lease over community land,” Mr Toole said.

$30 MILLION GREAT WESTERN HIGHWAY UPGRADE BEGINS

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole has today announced another major roads upgrade for the Bathurst electorate.
Roads and Maritime will tomorrow (Thursday) begin investigation work on a $30 million project to upgrade the Great Western Highway between Kelso and Raglan.
“This is part of the NSW Government’s commitment to build a faster and safer road from the Central West to Greater Sydney,” Mr Toole said.
Roads and Maritime Services will undertake survey investigation work to inform the final design of the project.

NEW REGION ENFORCEMENT SQUAD FOR BATHURST REGION

A new specialist police squad that will proactively target mid-level crime and disrupt drug supply was launched in Bathurst today.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole today joined Deputy Commissioner Gary Worboys to announce the seventh Region Enforcement Squad (RES) for regional NSW.
Mr Toole said the Chifley Region Enforcement Squad is a welcome addition for western NSW communities, and will have the flexibility to support surrounding Police Districts including the Central West and Orana-Mid Western.

‘ASK FOR ANGELA’ LAUNCHED IN BATHURST

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole MP and the Bathurst Liquor Accord today launched the internationally recognised ‘Ask for Angela’ campaign to improve safety at licensed venues.
Mr Toole said, ‘The accord is offering the initiative to up to 15 venues in the Bathurst region.”
“Whilst the Bathurst Liquor Accord introduced the Ask for Angela campaign in 2016 it was suspended after several months due to a lack of communications collateral.”
