ROCKLEY MOUNT KOALA CORRIDORS RECEIVE NSW GOVERNMENT FUNDING OF $100,000

The importance of ensuring the habitat of a breeding colony of koalas, living at Rockley Mount, is maintained and improved for the long term future of the breed has been recognised by the NSW Government.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole today announced a NSW Environmental Trust grant of $100,000 for the regeneration of an area of bushland earmarked as “one of the most important climate change refugia in NSW for this species”.

RESOURCES FOR REGIONS DELIVERS BLAYNEY SHIRE COUNCIL A $3 MILLION WINDFALL

Local towns and communities embedded within the mining industry are now guaranteed a fairer share of funding through the NSW Government’s revamped Resources for Regions program, which will deliver an additional $50 million worth of new infrastructure projects and community programs.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the revised funding program will provide 24 local councils with a base amount of $1 million, with a further $26 million weighted to the most mining-affected communities.

STIMULUS UPGRADES FOR LOCAL SHOWGROUNDS AT BLAYNEY, CARCOAR AND NEVILLE

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole today announced over $1.832 million has been allocated to local showgrounds as part of a NSW Government COVID-19 stimulus package.

Mr Toole said Blayney, Carcoar and Neville showgrounds have been approved for upgrade work to improve the safety, use and condition of their infrastructure and support jobs in the local economy.

“Our showgrounds play an important role at the heart of our communities so I welcome this further investment by the NSW Government,” Mr Toole said.
