47 JOBS SUPPORTED IN CHIFLEY ROAD UPGRADE

The new road over rail bridge on Chifley Road at Clarence is delivering safer and more efficient journeys between Bell and Lithgow, as part of the NSW Government’s $95 million Great Western Highway and Bells Line of Road upgrade.

Acting Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said work was now complete on the road approaches to the new Clarence Bridge, which opened to traffic in February this year.

IMPORTANT UPGRADES FOR CARCOAR-MANDURAMA CWA

A surprise visit to meet with members of the Carcoar-Mandurama branch of the Country Women’s Association has resulted in some great news for the organisation.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole has obtained a one-grant of $5115 from the NSW Government for urgent electrical repairs to the home of the CWA on the Mid Western Highway at Mandurama.

Built in 1947, the residence also provides a base for an invaluable childcare service to the wider local community.

MRI FOR BATHURST

AN MRI service is set to be added to the facilities at the Bathurst Hospital.

 

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole announced today the NSW Government would provide funding to the Bathurst Health Service to get the new MRI up and running.

 

“This will allow more local residents to receive potentially life-saving diagnosis and treatment at Bathurst Hospital,” Mr Toole said.

 

MRI - or magnetic resonance imaging – uses a powerful magnetic field to create detailed images of bones and soft tissue such as muscles.

OBERON FITNESS CENTRE OFFICIALLY OPEN

Oberon Fitness Centre is up and running with residents lining up to become members.

Since opening for business in August, more than 210 people have signed up for a membership at the facility

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole was joined by Deputy Mayor Mark Kellam, staff from The Y, and Member for Calare Andrew Gee in Oberon to cut the ribbon.

The centre is a result of an investment of $500,000 by the NSW Government and is now set to improve the quality of life of local Oberon residents.
