HOUSING TO ADDRESS HOMELESSNESS IN BATHURST

People sleeping rough in the Bathurst electorate will be rapidly housed and given ongoing, wrap-around support under a new NSW Government initiative aimed at breaking the cycle of homelessness, Paul Toole MP said today.
“The Together Home project will provide people with access to the assistance they need to maintain their tenancy, improve their health and wellbeing and move towards greater community participation,” Mr Toole said.

NEW BATHURST CYBER SECURITY CENTRE LAUNCHED

The NSW Government today announced a Cyber Security Vulnerability Management Centre will be established in Bathurst and operated by Cyber Security NSW.

Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the Centre was a key step towards strengthening the NSW Government’s cyber security capabilities following last week’s record $240 million cyber security investment.

“The Cyber Security Vulnerability Management Centre will provide the NSW Government with an increased awareness of vulnerabilities in internet-facing services and assets,” Mr Dominello said.

TRUNKEY TO TRIAL TRANSPORT SERVICE

The Bathurst Electorate will benefit from a new trial bus service rolling out across the region this week provide better connectivity and more travel choices for residents of  Trunkey, Neville, Newbridge, Georges Plains, Wimbledon and Perthville.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said starting this week, a return service running from Trunkey Creek to Bathurst on Wednesdays will operate to connect surrounding towns and ensure more travel choices for the community.

WETLANDS ENHANCEMENT – BATHURST BRICK PITS

A significant wetland habitat on the floodplain between Bathurst and Kelso is set to be given an environmental makeover thanks to funding of $100,000 from the NSW Government.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole announced the NSW Environment Trust grant today which would allow the commencement on the remediation on a tract of land known as the Bathurst Brick Pits.
