Wheels in motion for Blayney Skate Park

 

Member for Bathurst, Paul Toole, Blayney Shire Mayor, Scott Ferguson, local residents and school groups gathered at the Blayney Heritage Park and Adventure Playground for the start of construction on a new skate park.

The Blayney Skate Park project has received $272, 620 in funding from NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities, Round One and is now fully funded to commence work.

STRONGER COUNTRY COMMUNITIES FUND DELIVERS FOR THE BATHURST AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY

 

THE home of the Bathurst and District Historical Society inside the southern wing of the Court House building is in for a $100,000 upgrade thanks to the NSW Government.

Support from the Stronger Country Communities Fund will allow the interior of the Society’s museum to receive a new lease of life with a fresh coat of paint, new carpets and improved window tinting.

CARCOAR PIPELINE MAY BE THE ANSWER

 

The NSW Government is committing $850,000 to exploring infrastructure options for a pipeline between Carcoar Dam and Lake Rowlands.

Minister for Regional Water Niall Blair said a pipeline could provide improved water security for the region.

"The Lachlan Valley was severely impacted by the millennium drought and its enclosed water sources mean water security and reliability can drop dramatically during dry periods, as we are currently seeing at the moment," Mr Blair said.

BOOST FOR MENTAL HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE IN BATHURST

 

People receiving care in the Bathurst Hospital mental health inpatient unit will soon see further improvements, as statewide upgrades and refurbishments get underway.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole today announced mental health facilities in the region will benefit from a share of $350,000 in funding for minor capital works and equipment as part of a NSW Government investment to upgrade mental health infrastructure in NSW.
