He said the funding would also allow the club to put its members through safety training to ensure it remains complaint with the latest rules and regulations for an organisation of its type a well as making some much-needed repairs to a range wall.

“The main aim of this program is to increase the safety at shooting facilities in NSW as well as during club sponsored activities held away from a club's permanent base,” Mr Toole said.

“I congratulate the Bathurst Pistol Club on its successful application and look forward to seeing the benefits of this upgrade.

“It is a great pleasure to assist local clubs by providing the funds to increase the availability, standard and quality of sport facilities in the Bathurst Electorate.”

Mr Toole said the club has its headquarters on Boundary Road and caters for several different shooting disciplines.

“The club has facilities for pistol shooting over 10, 25 and 50 metres at two outdoor ranges and indoor air pistol range,” he said.
