Member for Bathurst Paul Toole has announced funding for Blayney Showground of $43,168 as part of the annual Public Reserves Management (PRMF) program.
The program supports volu nteers who care for and maintain public facilities in the region.
Mr Toole said, “It’s great to deliver funding to Blayney Shire Council to make further enhancements to a facility that has been developed so much over the past few years.
“Funding will be used for the construction of accessible concrete paths and a pavilion slab as well as the replacement of dilapidated timber bench seating with fixed aluminium benches.
“The Blayney Showground is such a central point for many community events that happen annually in Blayney. I look forward to seeing the new improvements that are happening with the help of the PRMF program,” said Mr Toole.
Over the past five years, more than $95 million has been allocated by the NSW Government under this annual funding program to provide financial support for the development, maintenance and protection of public reserves.
The 2016/17 funding allocation from the PRMF program is part of an $18 million annual program of grants and loans from the NSW Government to support the development, maintenance and protection of public reserves.
