Big plans are on the drawing board for the Rylstone Caravan Park.

The facility is set to undergo a major transformation with help from a NSW Government Stronger Country Communities Fund (SCCF) grant of $154,525.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole announced the funding, saying it would give the caravan park a new lease of life.

“The upgrade includes the extension of the park’s grounds, extension of the existing road through the venue and addition of camping and recreational vehicle parking sites with new services,” he said.

“There are also plans for the demolition of the existing amenities building following the construction of a new amenities building which will contain toilets, showers, parent room, store room, laundry, camp kitchen and an office with kitchenette.”

Mr Toole said the Rylstone Caravan Park is just a short walk from the main street and is a great location to base yourself for visits to many of the natural beauties in the area such as Fern Tree Gully, Glen Davis, Dunns Swamp, The Capertee Valley the Bylong Valley.
