Member for Bathurst Paul Toole is pleased to congratulate the Oberon Children’s Centre as successful applicants of the Start Strong Capital Works Grants program for the extension of the facility.
Oberon Children’s Centre will be receiving a grant of $415,405.00 to extend the existing facility, ultimately allowing for more enrolments.
The program comes as a part of the NSW Governments continued dedication to supporting families in NSW, by increasing the number of community preschool places available in areas of need and demand.
NSW families with young children will have improved access to early learning with $8.3 million in grants awarded through the Start Strong Capital Works Grants program.
“Earlier this year, Minister Sarah Mitchell visited our electorate and spoke to a number of childcare centres about their plans for upgrades, this funding will help improve and expand preschools across our communities,” Mr Toole said.
“There are more children attending 600 hours of preschool in NSW than ever before, this is why we need to support services to ensure the appropriate infrastructure is in place to accommodate for the growing number of enrolments in preschools.”
“Through the creation of more preschool places, even more children in Oberon will have access to a top-quality early childhood education, which will set them up for life,” Mr Toole said.
