There’s a brand new look to the Rylstone Multipurpose Service (MPS) with the project forging ahead.
Bathurst MP Paul Toole visited the MPS earlier this month to meet with staff and see first-hand progress of the redevelopment of the facility.
Mr Toole said the redevelopment project has delivered many upgrades and improvements which would benefit the local community.
“The new front entry has been given revamp to include an airlock for improved comfort and safety for staff and patients,” he said.
“Those areas that have been finished are already being put to good use, including the new staff accommodation.”
Mr Toole said the car park had been sealed and that new garden beds were being planted to make the MPS more welcoming.
“The aim of the new MPS at Rylstone is to convert the existing hospital into a multipurpose service and include facilities such as new residential aged care rooms; a reconfigured acute care area; modifications to the Health One building; and staff accommodation,” he said.
Mr Toole said it is envisaged the project would be completed in late October, early November.
